Introducing Our New Product - Soft Body Systems
Posted by Denoyer Geppert on
Denoyer-Geppert Science Company’s blog previously hinted about a new product launching in early 2017. Now we are officially announcing the new Soft Body Systems with even more details!
Perfect to pair with our Premier Skeletons, this anatomical starter set creates a torso from your skeleton model with a 12-piece set of soft organs.
We first identified the need for a set of thoracoabdominal organs to accompany our skeletons because of consistent customer inquiries for this type of product. In order to allow the organs to fit in the skeletons of various manufacturers, we decided to make the soft. Throughout development, we have tested multiple fabrics, forms, and construction techniques in order to bring a product worthy of the Denoyer-Geppert name.
The Soft Body Systems provides exclusive features that contribute to the learning of human torso anatomy. Students can really see the relationship of organs to the skeleton, especially key bony landmarks, as they assemble and disassemble the Soft Body System. Also apparent is the way the organs are packed into the body cavity leaving very little (or potential) space between them. The starter set includes:
- Two-part brain
- Right and Left lungs
- Heart
- Liver
- Stomach
- Pancreas and Spleen
- Right and left kidneys
- Large Intestine
- Small Intestine
The 12-piece set comes complete with an assembly guide and curriculum booklet. These guides provide a key for the soft organs as well as suggested learning activities. The learning activities have been designed to make the most use of the Soft Body Systems starter set with your students.
We plan to bring the Soft Body Systems to classrooms in early 2017 with additional pieces to follow in coming years. Contact us for more information about pre-ordering and product details.
