Don't Drink Urine

The Urinary System consists of the four organs - kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra.  The purpose of the urinary system is to eliminate waste from the body, regulate blood, regulate blood volume and pressure, control levels of electrolytes and metabolites, and regulate blood PH.

Urine is a blood byproduct and is non-toxic.  It is made up of 95% water, 2.5% urea and 2.5% of minerals, salts and enzymes.  I don’t want to imply people are stupid but as seen on the web recently,   DO NOT DRINK YOUR URINE - OR YOUR DOGS URINE.  That is not healthy!

A healthy bladder can hold around 400 ml of urine equal to about 1 3/4 cups.  Have you ever heard the term - the first one is free but the 2nd you pay double?
I’ve only heard that reference in regard to coffee and beer  - ( I lied - just beer).  The idea is you drink a couple pints - no problem, but once you hit your bladder limit - you gotta go - and you gotta go now!
Urine stays in your bladder for about 5 hours before discharge depending on the amount of liquid consumed.

If one of your kidneys fails to function and is removed, the other one will step up, increase it’s size by about 50% and function for two within a two month time span. -The human body is amazing isn’t it!

A kidney can clean about a million gallons of water in a life time - thats the size of a small lake. That's a lot of pee
Some people do dilute their urine and add to their gardens - not me.
